I like many kinds of music: classical, rock, rap, but most of all, jazz. My iPod is filled with music by all the giants like Cannonball Adderley, Thelonious Monk, Roy Hargrove, and Joshua Redman.
In this blog, I'd like to share some people I like listening to and I hope to receive advise on my improvisation and performing in general.

Right now, I'm working on How High the Moon. I can play all the chords by memory starting from any note and I know how to use the scales. Currently, I play two bars of the chords and two bars of the scale and keep alternating back and forth. I'm pretty far along, and I'm trying to make my solos more and more creative. I practice with Band-in-the-Box, which just gives the accompaniment since there aren't any other young musicians for me to play with.
